Emergency hormonal contraception

The emergency contraceptive pill (“morning after pill”) is available directly from our pharmacy without a doctor’s prescription. Subject to meeting certain criteria, the morning after pill can be given to women over 17 years of age.
Our pharmacist will ask a few simple questions, so that he can decide if taking the morning after pill is suitable for you.
Of course, this all will be done in our private consultation room.
The morning after pill can be effective up to 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex, but of course it is important to take it as soon as possible.
The quicker you take it, the more effective it works.
The morning after pill is available free of charge to medical card holders. For other customers a private fee will apply.

Adult & Children flu vaccine

The flu vaccine is a safe and effective vaccine. It helps to protect you from flu. The best time to get the flu vaccine is before the flu season starts. The flu vaccine is available from early October until late April every year.

It will protect you against the most common strains of flu going around each winter. As strains of flu change every year, you should get a new flu vaccine every flu season. When you get the flu vaccine, your immune system will start to produce antibodies. Then, if you come into contact with the flu virus, these antibodies will fight it and stop you from getting sick. The flu vaccine does not contain live viruses – this means it cannot give you flu.

Covid 19 Vaccine & Booster shots

COVID-19 vaccines will protect you from serious illness from COVID-19 (coronavirus). Vaccines are the most effective way to prevent infectious diseases. They prepare your immune system (your body’s natural defences) to recognise and defend itself against a specific virus.

If you have received a COVID-19 vaccine course, you should get a booster dose after 6 months

Blood pressure monitoring

One of our staff members will measure your blood pressure by a blood pressure machine. The pharmacist will then interpret the readings of this machine, so that he can give you advice regarding your blood pressure.
This service can be done at any moment during our opening hours, will take place in our private consultation room and is free of charge for all customers.
Please keep in mind that you can be asked to sit down for a few minutes in our private consultation room before the measurement can take place.

Blister packing

If you have difficulties or you know somebody who has difficulties with organising their medication, please ask us for the blister packing service.
With this service the medication will be divided in up to four intake moments per day. One blister pack contains the whole medication for one week.
The blister packing service is available free of charge for all customers.

Repeat prescription service

If you want we can keep your repeat prescription safely on file in our pharmacy.
In this way, we can easily prepare your medication in time after you inform us by phone or email.
Once we dispensed your medication from your last repeat prescription we will inform you, so that you can request a new prescription from your doctor.

Medication reviews

From time to time it is necessary to review the medication that you are taking.
Our pharmacist can perform this medication review for you.

This medication review is free of charge for all customers.
